Wow! I just realized that I haven’t made a post here in a few months. I’ve been pretty busy this summer with work… often working 8 to 5, then starting up after dinner and working more until 10 or so. I have made time for riding and driving though. Here’s a few pix from some of the cruise-ins and shows I’ve attended.
One of the coolest trucks I’ve seen in a while was at a local truck show a couple of months ago. It’s on a NASCAR frame with a NASCAR motor. Pretty dang bad!
I made it up to Champagne, IL. for the Bloomington Gold Corvette show this summer. Some incredible cars there but maybe none as cool as this 64 model. This is an unrestored, survivor car with less than 4500 actual miles on it. Just like it came off the showroom floor!
Otis on display at the local truck show.
Another cool one from Bloomington Gold. This car was just in attendee parking.
Gotta love the BIG BLOCK mid-year Vette’s!
Love, love, love this car!!!!
Had a great time at the 2014 Hunters Custom Auto Show in Nashville this weekend. Here’s a few pics but you can see more at: http://swag.zenfolio.com/p432688490
September is one of my favorite months for a few reasons. First, I can finally hop on my bike in Middle Tennessee and ride a fair distance without my brain becoming scrambled eggs from the 100+ degree heat… second, the NFL season kicks off and I still have hope that the Kansas City Chiefs may have a decent year… and third, the Redneck Rumble!
The first two I’m sure you can relate to but you may not know what the Redneck Rumble is. No, it’s not a bunch of hillbilly’s knocking each other out with moonshine jugs… it’s just one of the baddest car and bike shows with some of the coolest people anywhere in the country. Most of what you see at this show is projects built by their owners, in their own backyards. with their own hands… and the best parts they could come up with. NO TRAILER QUEENS!
My buddy Scooter over at www.BothBarrelsPromotions.com always does a great job putting this show together and this year was no exception. Record turn-out made for a great day! Here are a few pics but you can view a ton more if you CLICK HERE.
Nope… this RANT has nothing to do with motorcycles but I had to share it anyway. I covered the National Hot Rod Reunion today in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It was a really HOT day but I had so much fun it’s hard to call it work! Here’s a few images and if you would like to see the entire gallery follow the link at the bottom to my photography site.

Yes… this is a motorcycle blog but there is life beyond two wheels… especially when you’re talking Hot Rods and Rat Rods! A friend and I made our way to the Hunters Custom Auto Expo in Nashville today. I grabbed a few pics with the point-and-shoot in the horrid lighting conditions. These are a few of my favorites and you can see more if you click on the link at the bottom of this RANT.

Last weekend I went to the local car cruise-in to check out the hotrods and while I was there I spotted this way-cool Suzuki GS1100 in the parking lot. I didn’t catch the owner but looking at it I’d say it is an ’80 or ’81 model. It’s nice to see one of these older bikes in great condition… and still being ridden!
And since I was at the car show… I thought I’d show you one of my favorite 4-wheel sightings from the night.
